What the Locking Ring Does

The locking ring helps secure the cell assembly in position on compatible AquaPure Ei Series systems. A cracked, worn, loose, or damaged ring may prevent the cell from seating properly and can affect the fit around the cell housing.

Replacing the ring may be needed if the old ring is broken, difficult to tighten, visibly worn, or no longer holds the cell securely.

Installation Notes

Turn off power to the salt chlorine generator and pool equipment before service. Relieve system pressure and follow the manufacturer’s instructions before removing the existing ring.

Inspect the cell housing, threads, clamp area, and seals before installing the new ring. If the ring does not tighten correctly, do not force it. Check alignment and look for damage to nearby parts.

If the seal around the electrode housing is worn or leaking, inspect the main O-ring electrode housing before replacing only the locking ring.
