Electronic Salt Chlorination Use
This system is made to help maintain chlorine levels by converting dissolved salt into chlorine during normal pool circulation. A properly installed salt chlorine generator can reduce frequent manual chlorine dosing, but regular water testing and pool maintenance are still needed.
Pool owners should continue checking salt level, chlorine, pH, alkalinity, stabilizer, calcium hardness, and water flow. Poor water balance, low salt, weak circulation, or cell scale can reduce chlorine output.
AquaRite System Compatibility
The AQR15 is commonly used for in-ground pool salt chlorination setups, but it must match your pool size and equipment layout. If you are replacing only the cell instead of the full system, compare a Hayward T-Cell-15 replacement cell before buying a complete AquaRite system.
Do not choose this product only by appearance. Similar Hayward and Goldline systems may use different cells, control boards, wiring requirements, or gallon ratings.
Installation and Setup Guidance
Install this system only according to the official Hayward instructions. Confirm plumbing size, cell direction, flow switch placement, power connection, grounding, bonding, and salt level range before startup.
If you are converting from regular chlorine to a salt water chlorinator, make sure the pool water is balanced before turning on the system. Add salt only as directed, allow it to dissolve fully, and retest before relying on the chlorinator for daily chlorine production.
Maintenance and Replacement Notes
The salt cell should be inspected regularly for calcium scale or debris. Clean the cell only as directed by the manufacturer because harsh cleaning can shorten cell life.
If your AquaRite system later shows low output, no flow, or cell-related errors, compare a Hayward AquaRite replacement cell before replacing the whole control system. For plumbing service or temporary cell removal, a Hayward GLX cell pipe may also be useful depending on your setup.
