Compatibility Notes
This GLX-CAL-SOL solution is intended for compatible Hayward salt meter calibration. Always confirm that your meter or system documentation recommends a 3200 ppm calibration solution before use.
If you maintain a Hayward AquaRite setup, the Hayward W3AQR15 AquaRite salt chlorination system can help buyers understand the type of salt chlorine generator system that may require accurate salt testing.
This product should not be used as a replacement for pool salt, salt cell cleaner, stabilizer, or water balancing chemicals.
When to Use Calibration Solution
Use calibration solution when your salt meter readings seem inconsistent, when opening the pool for the season, after long meter storage, or before adding more salt to the pool. A meter that is not calibrated may lead to unnecessary salt adjustments.
If your pool also needs seasonal saltwater care products, the Natural Chemistry pool salt water maintenance kit may be reviewed separately from this calibration solution.
How to Use
Follow the instructions provided with your salt meter. In general, the meter probe should be clean before testing. Place the meter probe into the calibration solution, allow the reading to stabilize, and adjust or confirm the meter reading according to the meter instructions.
Do not pour used calibration solution back into the bottle. Keep the bottle sealed when not in use to avoid contamination or evaporation.
Salt System Maintenance Tips
Accurate salt readings help prevent unnecessary salt additions and can help with troubleshooting low salt or high salt warnings. However, salt readings can also be affected by water temperature, dirty probes, sensor condition, and salt cell scaling.
If your salt cell needs cleaning support, the Hayward GLX Cellstand cleaning stand may be useful for compatible Hayward Turbo Cell maintenance.
For ongoing salt cell care, the HTH pool salt salt cell saver may be reviewed as a separate maintenance product.
Storage and Handling
Store the bottle tightly closed in a cool, dry place away from pool chemicals, sunlight, and dirt. Do not use the solution if it appears contaminated, leaking, expired, or if the label is unreadable.
