Installation Notes
Turn off the pool pump and power to the chlorinator before installation. Relieve system pressure before loosening any unions. Remove the salt cell or old bypass pipe, inspect the union threads and O-rings, then install the bypass pipe by hand-tightening the fittings.
Do not overtighten the unions. After installation, restart the pump and check both ends for leaks. If a leak appears, turn the system off, reseat the pipe, and inspect the O-rings before tightening again.
Use a GLX union O-ring replacement if the current O-ring is flattened, cracked, missing, or no longer sealing well.
