Compatibility Notes
Use this replacement cell only if your system supports a T-CELL-15 style salt cell. If you want to compare an OEM-style option, review the Hayward T-CELL-15 salt cell before ordering.
This cell may fit select Hayward/Goldline systems such as AquaRite, AquaLogic, ProLogic, AquaPlus, Mineral Springs, and NatureSoft when the controller supports the correct cell type. For full system matching, compare your setup with the Hayward W3AQR15 AquaRite salt chlorination system before purchasing.
If you are comparing another aftermarket T-15 style option, review this T-15 compatible salt cell before deciding which replacement best matches your system.
What This Replacement Salt Cell Does
The salt cell helps convert dissolved pool salt into chlorine when connected to a compatible salt chlorine generator control system. This supports routine pool sanitizing, but the pool still needs regular water testing, correct salt level, proper water balance, and normal filter maintenance.
A worn, scaled, or failing cell can cause low chlorine output, salt reading issues, service lights, or inconsistent chlorinator performance. Before replacing the cell, check salt level, water flow, water temperature, cell cleanliness, cable condition, controller settings, and controller cell type setting.
Installation Notes
Turn off power to the pool equipment before removing or installing the salt cell. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions for flow direction, union connection, O-ring placement, cable connection, and controller cell type setting.
Do not force the cell into place. The replacement should match the correct plumbing size and connection style for your system. If you need a temporary bypass while servicing the system, check the GLX-CELL pipe replacement before leaving the plumbing open.
After installation, inspect for leaks, confirm the controller recognizes the cell, and allow the system time to begin producing chlorine under normal operating conditions.
Cleaning and Maintenance Tips
Inspect the cell regularly for scale buildup, debris, or visible wear. If cleaning is needed, follow the manufacturer’s cleaning instructions and avoid scraping the plates with sharp tools.
For safer handling during cleaning, a Hayward TurboCell cleaning stand may help support compatible T-CELL style salt cells during maintenance.
Keep the pool water balanced and maintain salt within the controller’s recommended range. Poor water chemistry, high calcium, heavy scale buildup, low flow, or incorrect salt level can reduce cell performance and shorten service life.
Before You Order
Confirm that your existing system supports a T-CELL-15, GLX-CELL-15, or GLX-CELL-15-W style replacement cell and that your pool is within the listed 40,000-gallon capacity. Also verify controller compatibility, controller cell setting, cable connection, union size, O-ring condition, flow direction, warranty terms, and whether any fittings or installation instructions are included before purchasing.
